Lauren and Graig had the most beautiful wedding rings. They had designed the very intricate patterns themselves and I was very reluctant to return the rings after photographing them. So gorgeous! Just like the entire October day at West Park Winery. I think everyone that knows me well knows that I have a love affair with the barn at the winery. I just love to photograph that barn!
How to get a bride in a big dress up on a fence...
When Melissa first called me about photographing her wedding, I wasn't sure that I was still available for her date. Luckily, everything worked out because this wedding party was FUN! Melissa and Jeremy work in theater and that reflected in all the special touches they had added to their wedding. Especially the Converse Sneakers! The entire bridal party wore custom designed Converse sneakers - all day. Lime green for the girls and black for the guys. Melissa wore white of course. These guys could run, climb fences and do things a bridal party in heels and dress shoes just can't do. These sneakers made my day - and the photos!
Jimmy is a Marine stationed in North Carolina. All it took was a flag hanging at Deanna's parents home to make the perfect backdrop for a bridal portrait of Deanna that would mean something special to her husband. The ceremony at St. Mary's in Wappingers was followed by a trip to the Culinary Institute of America for photos. Hollie, my assistant, took some amazing photos with a Lensbaby lens that we've both been having fun with this summer. It's a cool little lens that adds a blur to the photo edges-kind of a dreamy effect. Perfect for weddings!
